Ancient British Chariot

I thought I would put up a collage photo of the British Chariot I painted; this is what broke my computer yesterday..

It's pretty big, so click on it to expand the image.

Please leave a commend with any feedback, or if you just like it!

  1. Looks brilliant - what have you used for grass?
I´m sure it would have won...

  2. Cheers Kasper! :)

I used Silflor grass tufts. They are pretty good for display models, as they come in natural looking little clumps and have a bit more "body" and variability in length/height in the grass. You can buy them in 1mm, 3mm and 5mm lengths, these are 1mm autumn green (I think).

Bit expensive and fiddly for bulk/batch painted troops maybe. I am planning on just using them for loosely based skirmishers and chariots/cavalry. I posted a review and some pics of the pack contents back in September last year (not sure how to link back to it here..) :embarrassed:
Maybe I'll edit the main post with a back link...

  3. 1mm grass - sounds very fiddly! Couldnt find the post you mentioned, but can you give a link to the best place to buy it?

  4. Looking again its actually 2/4/6mm packs! This is the raw address for the post I was talking about:

The strip in the photo is a small pack

The best place to get them is probably Antenociti Workshop, they are really efficient. Only problem is they seem to be out of stock of many of them, although they do have a new line called "fredericus rex" which look similar.
